Tree Care Service Disclaimers

Effective Date: 10/27/2026
Last Updated: 10/27/2026

This page outlines important terms and disclaimers specific to LumberJim's Tree Care services, including trimming, cutting, and removal of trees under 25 feet, shrubs, and bushes. Please review this page in addition to our general [Terms of Service] before requesting service.

1. Insurance & Certification

  • LumberJim carries general liability insurance.

  • LumberJim does not hold arborist certification. No content on this Site, in our marketing, or in communications with customers should be interpreted as a claim of arborist certification. Our Tree Care services are provided as general tree trimming, cutting, and removal services within the scope described above.

2. Quotes & Pricing

  • Quotes provided through our Site, by phone, or in writing are estimates only and are not final until confirmed following an on-site assessment.

  • Educational articles and how-to content on this Site do not constitute professional advice and are not a substitute for an on-site assessment of your specific tree.

  • Final pricing may change based on tree size, condition, accessibility, disposal needs, or site conditions discovered at the time of service.

3. Payment Terms

  • A deposit is required to schedule and confirm your Tree Care service.

  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work.

  • Accepted payment methods and specific deposit amounts will be communicated at the time of quote confirmation.

4. Site Access & Hazard Disclosure

It is the customer's responsibility to identify and disclose the following before work begins:

  • Underground utility lines, cables, irrigation systems, or septic systems on the property

  • Any other buried or hidden hazards in the work area

  • Property lines, if boundaries are unclear or disputed

We recommend contacting Texas 811 (dial 811 or visit texas811.org) before any tree removal or stump grinding work to have underground utility lines marked, and disclosing this information to us in advance.

LumberJim is not responsible for damage to undisclosed underground utilities, irrigation systems, septic systems, or other hidden hazards that were not identified by the customer prior to the start of work.

5. Property & Weather Conditions

  • Weather conditions (rain, high winds, extreme heat) may require us to reschedule service for safety reasons. We'll communicate any changes as early as possible.

  • Access to the work area (gates, driveways, fencing, parked vehicles) should be clear on the scheduled service date. Delays caused by restricted access may affect scheduling or pricing.

  • While we take care to protect surrounding landscaping, structures, and property during service, some incidental impact (such as debris, minor lawn disturbance, or dust) is a normal part of tree work.

6. Scope of Work

  • Our Tree Care services are limited to trees under 25 feet, shrubs, and bushes. We do not provide grass, weed, or general landscaping services.

  • Any work outside the agreed scope (identified during the on-site assessment or requested afterward) may require a separate quote.

  • Debris removal and disposal arrangements will be confirmed at the time of quote, as this may affect final pricing.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LumberJim's liability for any claim arising from Tree Care services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question. This limitation does not apply to damages resulting from our own negligence in cases covered by our general liability insurance.
